Jean-Paul LE MOËL
Captain Jean-Paul Le Moël has learned to fly during the
war in the US Army Air Forces schools. (Selma Alabama, Waco
Texas) He joined Air France in 1946, and quit in 1982. He ended
his flying career as the chief of the Air France Concorde crews.
He had registered a total of 24,000 flying hours, of which 2,000
were in supersonic; the remainder in: World War II fighters:
Curtiss P 40, P 47 (Thunderbolt) and P 51 (Mustang) followed
by the Junkers 52, DC 3, Languedoc, DC 4, Bréguet 763
(two deck), Constellation, Caravelle, Boeing 707 and 747.
An aviation fanatic since childhood, he continues to teach
young people how to fly as president of a flying club in southern
France. Writing is his second calling.
