03/01/1964 : 600 firms will work for Concorde - France
Concorde gives work to aeronautical firms in France and great Britain, in all industrial fields: hydraulic, metallurgy, chemistry of fuels, lubricants, paints, insulating materials, coatings, tyres, plastics. On both sides of the Channel, 200 000 specialists have been called up to work in the 350 French companies and 250 British involved in the program. Eleven plants of France and Sud aviation, nine plants and five test areas for British Aircraft Corporation are implicated. Even US firms will participate for 10% in building pre-production planes.
10/24/1963 : First model of Concorde - Great Britain
Study model of Concorde is shown to French and British newspapers in the plant of British Aircraft Corporation in Bristol-Filton. It has the same size than the future plane.

United States and URSS say they will build a supersonic commercial plane..
01/13/1963 : The name - Paris
During a speech general de Gaulle uses the word Concorde to talk of the supersonic project. British strip the word of its "e".
11/29/1962 : Governmental agreement for a supersonic transport plane - London
Supersonic transport plane is getting credible. Following long negotiations, French and British governments are resolute to go on in one of the greatest aeronautical adventures of all times. Jouffroy de Courcel, French ambassador in London, Julian Amery, British aviation secretary, signed a draft agreement about building in common a supersonic commercial plane. Never two States had been involved in such a close co-operation. Agreement says that France and Great Britain "must share fifty fifty all angles of the project from expenses to incomes". Four companies are in charge of the project. British Aircraft Corporation and Sud-Aviation will build the airframe. Engines Olympus 593 will come from Bristol Siddeley and Snecma.
10/25/1962 : Agreement Sud-Aviation and BAC - France
Sud-Aviation and BAC come to an agreement for a plan of supersonic plane which they forward to British and French governments.
