No, First Officers (co-pilots) must stay on the fleet for a minimum of 5
years (and after 5 years they are not forced to leave - but every co-pilot
wants to be a captain one day!!). Captains on Concorde must stay for 10
years - but if you are senior enough to get onto Concorde as a captain you
will probably retire before 10 years (we retire at age 55 years).

Avec 17 700 heures de vol à son compteur, cet ex-pilote de chasse de l'armée de l'Air, commandant de bord du Concorde F-BVFA à destination de New York, monte serein, ce vendredi d'avril 1988, dans son cockpit profilé. A onze heures précises, il roule sur la bretelle d'entrée de la piste 27 de l'aéroport de Roissy. Temps clair, vent calme et ambiance euphorique, le pilote s'apprête à entamer son troisième vol d'adaptation en ligne avec en cabine quatre-vingts passagers.

Cabin Crew
Cabin crew are specially selected and trained to anticipate the needs of Concorde passengers. Originally Concorde cabin crew came from longhaul and became permanent Concorde crew, there are still 50 core cabin crew, but a new sytem is in operation now. Cabin crew put their name on a permanent list open to cabin crew worldwide. Every quarter a number of applicants are chosen for interview, through these interviews 12 are selected to replace12 of the current crew. Cabin staff only work for a maximum of 3 years, this is to give as many people as possible the chance to work on Concorde. The selected crew are given an extra 5 days customer service training and 2 days SEP training.
Each Concorde flight has at least 6 cabin crew, with at least one Purser and there are approximately 220 Concorde cabin crew.
